On today's date, Cook County Judge Lawrence E. Flood granted Chicago Criminal Defense Attorney Michael J. Petro's motion to suppress illegally seized evidence on behalf of a Chicago citizen, FR. Through cross-examination, attorney Petro was able to discredit the testifying Chicago Police Officer.
In argument after the hearing, Petro's associate, attorney Quinn Michaelis, used the U. S Supreme Court and State of Illinois precedent to persuade the court that the search of FR was in violation of the 4th Amendment.
