Attorney Michael J. Petro Argues in Seventh Circuit

On Monday, April 30, 2007, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments in USA v. Robert Stephenson, 06-2574.  The distinguished panel included Justices Rovner, Wood and Sykes.

Attorney Michael J. Petro represented Mr. Stephenson at the argument.

In the argument, Mr. Petro argued that the relevant conduct attributed to Mr. Stephenson at sentencing was not properly calculated.  He also argued that the definition of "crack" cocaine was unconstitutionally void for vagueness.

The panel indicated that the arguments were taken under advisement and that an opinion will issue.
